golden decades of gospel.
Although I'm by no means a confessing Christian,
I'm very much a fan of the sheer joy and intensity
of that period.
Excello was one of the first labels to record and release the southern ecstacy.
These cuts range from 1952 to 1955.
They feature for me hitherto unknown acts as
The Silvertone Singers, The Waldo Singers,
The Jewel Gospel Aires and more.
